What is “Ethical Sourcing”?

Our Considerations:

Labor Standards (No forced labor, fair wages, and no child labor)

Safety Standards

Low Environmental Impact

No Conflict Minerals

It’s a difficult topic. We don’t want to think about it. We don’t want to discuss it. We simply want to enjoy our beautiful crystals.

But our business was formed on certain principles, philosophies, and values. We believe in doing no harm. In this we include all living creatures and also our environment.

We want to practice what we preach. So we have made the commitment to attempt to deal in only stones that have been ethically sourced. What does this mean? To us, it means that products are obtained in a way that upholds human rights, decent working conditions, health and safety, and good business ethics.

While we understand it may not be 100% possible to ensure these value are upheld along the entire crystal supply chain, we are determined to give it our best effort to deal with mines, lapidaries, wholesalers, and shipping companies who share our values.

Our pledge to you is that we will do our very best to investigate the impacts of our purchases, to be transparent about our products, to only offer goods that meet our standards, and to inspire change by investing in positive global projects.

Environmental Impacts

The environmental impacts of crystal mining operations include water contamination, landscape destruction, soil erosion and soil loss, habitat loss, and many other detrimental impacts to the environment.

Human Impacts

Human exploitation, forced and child labor, exposure to harmful chemicals, and human rights violations are some of the impacts of the gemstone mining industry.

Cultural Impacts

Crystal and gemstone mining affects Indigenous communities with encroachment on and destruction of their lands, victimization of their people, and appropriation of their cultural artifacts.

The Earth is not just our environment . We are the Earth and the Earth is us . We have always been one with the Earth.
